The Hull Show is back for 2018 and bigger and better than ever! A fantastic, family- friendlyevent with FREE entry for everyone, it’s a great way to spend a sunny August weekend so, mark 11th – 12th August in your diary and don’t forget that the funfair attached to the show opens two days earlier (9th – 10th August). All the fun of the show takes place at East Park, in Kingston upon Hull.
Last year’s show was such an incredible success, attracting visitors not just from Hull, but other areas, due to the varied attractions and free entry. Albert, from Evans Funfairs who organises the show is delighted that he can, once again, run this as a free entry event at East Park, which is a stunning, Grade II listed, English Heritage site and the perfect place for an event such as this.
About The 2017 Show
The Hull Show was a completely free event to attend and had something for everyone to enjoy.
The Funfair was open before the show started, as well as the Saturday and Sunday of the actual show, and allowed visitors to experience all the fun of the fair for even longer!
The weekend was also packed with free entertainment including Jamie Squibb’s Freestyle Motocross Show, the Knights of Nottingham (Medieval Jousting), Stunt Monkeys Motorcycle Team, Vander’s Wheel of Death, and fantastic community displays such as demonstrations from Hull Kung Fu and stunning routines from The Hull Cheerleaders.
There were also stalls with goods, food and drink stalls from local traders dotted throughout. The owner is extremely passionate about supporting local traders and giving them the opportunity to display their trade by offering space at the show at reasonable rates, including free spaces for charities.
Bigger and better for 2018
Attendance to the show has grown year on year and is expected to bring in crowds of 30,000 plus throughout the weekend. There is still trade space and sponsorship opportunities available leading up to the event.
A few words from Albert, Event Organiser
“I was absolutely thrilled with the turnout of The Hull Show in both 2016 and 2017… and with so much achieved in such a short space of time, it just had to be re-arranged for 2018!
“As a free event, I expected a great turn out and (thankfully) I was not disappointed! We expect bigger crowds next year… More entertainment, more arenas and some surprise acts too.
Since I began this show three years ago, feedback has been hugely positive, and whilst I hope for more people to come to this great event, I also hope it will bring more visitors to Hull as tourism is beneficial for other businesses in the town too!”
