It’s true and how thrilled are we???!!! The ultimate UK arena show, The Squibb Freestyle Motocross Arena Stunt Show, will be appearing at The Hull Show (12th & 13th August, East Park, Holderness Road, Hull). The thrilling and death defying Jamie Squibb and his team of riders perform breath-taking jumps and stunts in mid air in front of your very eyes. Guaranteed to wow and amaze all!
For those not in the know, Freestyle Motocross (also known as FMX) is a variation on the sport of motocross in which motorcycle riders attempt to impress judges with jumps and stunts.
The two main types of freestyle events are:
Big Air (also known as Best Trick), in which each rider gets two jumps — usually covering more than 60 feet (18 m) — from a dirt-covered ramp.
Freestyle Motocross, the older of the two disciplines. Riders perform two routines, lasting between 90 seconds and 14 minutes, on a course consisting of multiple jumps of varying lengths and angles that generally occupy one to two acres. Oh, and whilst they are doing this, they are also performing tricks and variations!
Brave or crazy?! We’ll let you decide which but such dedication, training and expertise is certainly a sight worth a watch!
Squibb Freestyle is one of a long list of entertainment, live music, fair ground rides, stalls, food and drink waiting for you to enjoy at The Hull Show. It’s a real family event with a carnival atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you!
